Conclusion

You may be wondering why I would buy a bucket, since the bucket we have left when we buy various merchandise (wall paints, rice, sugar, etc.) also serves its purpose. Of course it serves its purpose – at home, but when I go fishing I want to blend in with the surroundings as much as possible. This is impossible to achieve with white, yellow, red or similar bright colors of the bucket. The tastes for the colors are of course different.

Ridge Monkey Compact Bucket System is very practical in my opinion, as you can carry a small amount of different baits with you on a short fishing trip and of course the possibility of using this bucket also depends on your way of fishing.

I recommend the bucket especially to those who use pva products when fishing, mainly because of the three sections in which you can put different bait for pva.

What could be nicer than having the whole tackle terminal and hook baits in one place and no need to search for different boxes and bags, especially when you are fishing?

I have a solution to this question and it is an NGT Carp Bivvy Table System II.

NGT Carp Bivvy Table System II:

  • Four adjustable legs
  • Removable bivvy table
  • 6 Glug pots
  • 2 Removable weight / bit bags with clear tops
  • 2 Terminal tackle boxes with various compartments
  • Removable stiff rig wallet
  • Extra padded and removable adjustable shoulder strap
  • 2 Additional storage compartments on the front of the system box.

Dimensions and weight:

  • Size: 51 x 32 x 19cm
  • Weight: 4kg

Ngt bivvy table system II all in one

The shoulder strap can be removed.

Let’s see what’s inside

10 pins for rigs.

Thick and quality foam for rigs.

The internal arrangement in the bag can be adjusted according to the fisherman’s wishes.

6 glug pots in which you can store various baits (popups, hook boilies, wafters, corn, hook pellets, etc).

Two storage bags for lead, method feeders, pva bags and much more have also added. The interior walls are also removable for longer fishing terminal tackle. The inside of the bags is made of soft foam and fabric so I personally do not recommend storing sharp objects (fishing hooks, scissors, etc), fishing baits, feeder pellets and the like.

The bag has a strong zipper

Table

A very light and practical table is built into a bag.

The legs on the table are quick and easy to fold.

Adjustable legs

The table also has adjustable legs and can be extended if necessary.

If you want to have fishing rods without damage and scratch, it is necessary to buy sleeves for fishing rods. It has already happened to many anglers that when he cast, the blank of the fishing rod broke off somewhere (most often from the middle towards the tip of the fishing rod). Although the cast was of adequate power for the fishing rod, it is often the result of the fishing rod being damaged during transport or even at home. On a blank fishing rod, these injuries are often not visible and therefore many anglers wonder why the rod breaks. Therefore, it is especially important that we have fishing rods protected.

In the sleeve for fishing rods can also be carried a landing net, bank stiks, fishing umbrella and more, depending of course on the model and manufacturer of the fishing rod sleeve.

Which fishing rod sleeve to choose in a fishing shop is sometimes quite a problem, as there are many brands and models to choose from. I myself decided to buy somewhere in the middle range of sleevs.

The most important thing for me in choosing was that the fishing rod sleeve has:

  • dark green color
  • external pockets
  • strong zipper
  • space for two fishing rods with a big pit reels
  • big enough for 50mm rod guides
  • price

My choice: Chub Vantage 2 rod system sleeve

Brand new fishing rod sleeve straight from the store :).

Information.

Descriptions in different languages.

15% off over $69 on all Piscifun fishing gear

Separate space for fishing rods and reels.

Two inside fairly large velcro pockets in which we can store fishing tackle material, some bait boilies, pop up boilies and so on.

Handy large outer pocket in which we can store various fishing equipment (landing net,, weighing sling, bank sticks, feeding shovel and so on).

Strong zipper and bag carrying holder.

The technology I use for photography, video recording, and photography software:

External small and handy pocket, which is basically designed for the storage of fishing lead. Flexible for a few hours of fishing, stalking or for those anglers who carry a minimum of fishing gear.

Shoulder bag carrying straps.

On the back of the sleeve there is a large space where you can store landing net handle, a fishing umbrella, weight sling, …

The bottom of the sleeve is strong and reinforced.

In practice

I stored a lot more equipment in the sleeve than I expected. I have in my fishing rod sleeve: two fishing rods with big pit reels, bank sticks, bite alarms, swingers, landing net, landing net holder, feeding shovel and weight sling. I am really more than happy with the bag and it was the right decision to buy.

Has only one small drawback and that is that there are no internal straps to provide complete stability for the fishing rods (possibly due to the universal size of the sleeve).

It’s been for quite a few years (more than 12 years ) since I bought my first rig storage box. I think this box was the first on the market from the Korda company (please comment below if I’m wrong about this information). At that time, it was quite difficult to buy quality fishing equipment in Slovenia’s fishing shops, so every such new product in my fishing bag was very special. Even now it’s the same as not to be mistaken, but back then it was harder to get and also made it even more special.

I almost always make carp fishing rigs at home, because when I go fishing I prefer to focus on fishing tactics, watching the water, taking pictures, recording video, reading, … , so i decided to buy another box for rig storage. Because I am more than happy with the quality and and functionality of the older box I decided to buy the latest Korda rig safe large.

Old version – Korda rig storage

  • After so many years of use and it still looks good.

  • Small abrasion on plastic, but only visual damage.

  • Ruler on the box. Marked length 30cm or 12 inch.
  • Only the plastic on the cap has broken, which of course is understandable after countless times opening and closing.
  • Visible use with innumerable holes in the foam.
  • There was no separate space for hooks.

Latest version – Korda Rig Safe Large

  • Nicely packaged in hard plastic packaging. Let’s open the box.
  • Many carp rigs can be made before filling this box. The winter months will pass quickly.
  • Very practical for different types of rigs.
  • My cat came to see what i bought this time.
  • Even more detailed ruler than the older one (marked half centimeters or inch). Marked length 30cm or 12 inch.

Bluefin Cruise Carbon SUP Package / Stand Up Inflatable Paddle Board / 6″ Thick / Carbon Rail & Paddle / Kayak Conversion Kit (10’8 / 12′ / 15′) – $899.00

  • Double pins for rigs that haven’t not yet finished with a loop or swivel and decide on the length when you arrive at the fishing spot.

My opinion on the new Korda rig safe large: PROS and CONS.

Conclusion

The first impression of a newer box (Korda rig safe large) gave me the feeling that I would carry this box with me for fishing at least as long as the old one I have.

My opinion: if you want a quality, durable and lightweight box for storing your rigs, this rig safe box is one of the best choices to buy on the market. The decision is, of course, up to you.

Hmmmmmm… Which fishing cradle to buy was a big question for me. I was looking for one that would be low and long for bigger fish like grass carp and carp.

I’ve only used a unhooking mat in recent years, but since the rules at the lakes are changing (which I really like) it was time to buy a cradle.

And finally…. I found a Fox Carpmaster Cradle XL on the internet that came on the market this year. There are two sizes available: standard and XL.

After some thought, I decided to buy one. My choice was the Fox Carpmaster Cradle XL version.

Big care for Bigger fish

On the first fishing trip with this cradle I took a picture of it.

So far, I am very excited about it and it has proven to be more than excellent and worth buying despite its high price (around 170€).
